We are helping the queer community claim our power.
Join our mission to uplift, amplify, educate and empower every member of the LGBTQ+ community to live our best lives.
Attacks on LGBTQ+ rights are at an all-time high — especially impacting people of color and trans and non-binary folks. Our intersections of identity are what make our community beautiful, unique and powerful. In the face of hate, we’re stronger than ever.
The Human Rights Campaign and Human Rights Campaign Foundation are building power in our communities. Our programs are at the forefront of queer empowerment for every community member.
Our Trans Justice Initiative is a powerhouse for trans empowerment.
We convene three separate cohorts who are building power and strengthening trans communities of color.
Our ELEVATE fellowship advances the leadership of BIPOC trans femmes, creating a space for learning and growth while forming community connections.
Our ACTIVATE fellowship builds the power of people on the frontlines. We come together with Black and Brown trans and non-binary leaders already working in advocacy and community organizing to connect them with tools to take it to the next level. Our mission is to unleash our community leader’s potential and empower them to drive impactful progress.
We are proud to announce our brand new cohort, MOTIVATE.
MOTIVATE is the first cohort of its kind, bringing together transmasc leaders to build strength and empowerment. Get to know our MOTIVATE fellows with Motivate Monday to talk all things transmasculinity.
Every trans and non-binary person has their own story to tell, and we are proud to amplify the unique voices of our Changemakers. In the face of hate, trans joy and reliance shines brighter than ever!
“Being selected as an HRC MOTIVATE fellow, particularly as part of the first trans-masculine cohort, was a significant and validating experience for me. It reaffirmed that my unconventional advocacy efforts were being recognized and appreciated by a larger community. The fellowship provided me with invaluable tools, especially the negotiation skills imparted by Tori Cooper, which have profoundly impacted my personal and professional life.
These skills have enabled me to secure better opportunities and create a more stable and fulfilling life for my family. Additionally, the fellowship fostered strong connections with fellow trans-masculine leaders, who played a pivotal role in helping me overcome postpartum depression, reinforcing the importance of community and support in our journey.”

To truly make a difference in the lives of our LGBTQ+ community, we need to look beyond our own country. Worldwide, LGBTQ+ rights are under attack.
Our Global programs take the fight across borders to where it’s needed most.
This fall, we proudly invited 32 Global Innovators fighting for LGBTQ+ rights in their countries to D.C. to amplify their stories and help them build their power!
We’re working with partners on the ground to help folks make an impact on their communities. We’re proud to collaborate with the Men of Color Health Awareness Project and Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center to put tools in the hands of Black, Brown, trans and non-binary community members.
Our Next Level Program helps individuals to take charge of their futures and overcome the systemic barriers disproportionately impacting them.
Join us as we work to build power across our communities!
