This merit scholarship provides financial assistance to students currently enrolled at UCI who identify as part of the lesbian gay bisexual and transgender community and participate in the activities of the UCI LGBT Resource Center.

An emergency funding source for UCR students in good standing who have been cut off financially from their families because of their sexual orientation, gender, perceived orientation or gender, or work with the LGBT community. Students of all sexual orientations and gender identities may apply for assistance. **Must contact to request information

At least one $1,000 scholarship recipient annually. Scholarship recipients are selected based on academic achievement, personal merit, and their contributions to the LGBTQIA community. *Deadline TBD, likely in April

The scholarship is for enrolled UC San Diego undergraduates who actively support the LGBTQIA+ community and major in computer science, computer engineering, public policy, communications, or other programs that touch on networked systems. In addition to receiving a scholarship, recipients have an opportunity to carry out guided research under the direction of one of the center’s faculty mentors.

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual students. Active involvement in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer community. Preference given to students with demonstrated financial need.

Hard science major (Chemistry, Biology and Physics) with a minimum GPA of a overall 2.50 GPA and a 3.00 in their major; have demonstrated financial need, are a self-identified member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
