Selected candidates will demonstrate their dedication to excellence in their lives through service, education, or employment. Scholarship are awarded to applicants whose leadership potential is evident regardless of their chosen field of study or financial need. **Qualifying Universities: San Francisco State University, Stanford University, University of California at Berkeley, University of California, San Francisco, or University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

This scholarship is for students at MiraCosta College with a 2.0 GPA or higher, who demonstrate financial need. Qualified candidates must be students planning to continue at MiraCosta College and enroll in six units or more and are a member or friend of the MiraCosta GSA.**GSA members

Qualified candidates must be students planning to continue at MiraCosta College enrolling in six units or more, member or active ally of the LGBTQIA community and/or identify as trans and/or gender nonconforming.

This scholarship is for students who have completed six units or more at MiraCosta College with a GPA of 2.0 or greater and demonstrate financial need. Qualified candidates must plan to continue at MiraCosta and enroll in six or more units or transfer to a four-year institution. Students identify as a QTPOC and or an active ally. Queer: Includes LQBTQIA+ Person of color: Includes but not limited to African American, Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islander, etc. Active ally: Attend MCC GSA meetings, or Umoja, or MEChA meetings, or volunteer on behalf of QTPOC community.

Qualified candidates must identify as transgender and/or gender nonconforming or as a friend/ally to the transgender and/or gender nonconforming communities, planning to continue at MiraCosta College in six or more units or transfer to a 4-year institution in the fall.

PFLAG Sacramento is pleased to offer scholarships of $2,000 or more to qualified students from the Sacramento area. The scholarship is named in honor of The Rev. and Mrs. Merrill Follansbee, and Jean Hansen, our chapter's co-founders and proud parents of LGBTQ+ individuals.**Must live in Sacramento region

The scholarships are awarded to LGBTQ high school seniors continuing on to higher education or full-time undergraduate and graduate students through a competitive application and essay process that enters into over 12 available scholarships. **San Diego county residents

Applicants for all scholarships must have demonstrated service to the LGBT+ community. Applicants of all sexual orientations and gender identities are eligible. Applicants must reside in Northern/Central CA.
