HRC’s Women LEAD

Women LEAD began in 2018 as a targeted Federal Club and Federal Club Council initiative to strengthen and expand the roles of women in the HRC member community.

This program undertakes the mission of elevating the impact of women as HRC supporters, leaders, and advocates. Women LEAD is for women, as well as non-binary people who are comfortable in a space that centers the experience of women.

Women are change-makers! Transgender women fearlessly launched the modern LGBTQ+ equality movement. Lesbians used their strength to push equality forward, championing women’s rights alongside LGBTQ+ rights. Moms gave power and meaning to allyship as they ferociously loved their children and marched alongside them, demanding that their lives be valued and respected.

Since the 2016 election, women have unified our voices more than ever before. From Women’s marches across the globe to #MeToo and #TimesUp, women are no longer simply joining the conversation, we are leading it. As we tell women’s stories in this movement, and so many others, we tell the stories of courage, strength, compassion, faith and love. Let’s face it; women get stuff done and make the world go round.
