This scholarship is for students who have completed six units or more at MiraCosta College with a GPA of 2.0 or greater and demonstrate financial need. Qualified candidates must plan to continue at MiraCosta and enroll in six or more units or transfer to a four-year institution. Students identify as a QTPOC and or an active ally. Queer: Includes LQBTQIA+ Person of color: Includes but not limited to African American, Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islander, etc. Active ally: Attend MCC GSA meetings, or Umoja, or MEChA meetings, or volunteer on behalf of QTPOC community.

The student may apply and use the money for education-related expenses, including tuition, fees, books, supplies, room and board. Michael Moody Fitness sponsors the scholarship.
