As we approach Pride Month, we know our community is under attack.
From executive orders, to culture wars, to state legislation, this has been a season of challenge. Still, as we always have, we are rising above adversity and fighting forward.
Today, we're thrilled to share news that will fill your hearts with the same pride and determination that fills ours: The Human Rights Campaign has reached 3.6 million members and supporters — the largest, most powerful base of support we've ever built!
This isn't just a number. This is a revolution. This is proof that when they attack our families, our children, our very existence, we respond not with fear but with an unstoppable force of love, courage and collective action.
Think about what 3.6 million voices mean. We now have members and supporters in every single state, every congressional district, every corner of America.
We have teachers standing up in school board meetings, parents advocating at PTA gatherings, students organizing on college campuses and grandparents writing letters to their representatives. We have small business owners, executives, faith leaders, veterans and young activists — all united by our shared commitment to a future where every LGBTQ+ person can live authentically and without fear.
And we’ve seen what that power can do.
In just the first 100 days of this administration alone, our incredible members participated in an unprecedented 350,000 actions.
They wrote to Congress, showed up at rallies, made phone calls, knocked on doors, and made their voices heard in ways that demand attention and respect. That's the kind of engagement that moves mountains and changes hearts.
Here's why 3.6 million members matter:
But perhaps most importantly, our growth during this challenging time sends an unmistakable message: attacks on our community don't weaken us — they make us stronger, more determined and more united than ever before.
Every discriminatory law passed, every hateful speech given, every attempt to push us back into the shadows has been met with thousands of new Americans saying "I'm with HRC" and joining our fight.
And we’re so grateful for our membership.
Sunday, June 1st, marked our 5th annual HRC Membership Appreciation Day, and this year, we celebrated bigger than ever before — with a weekend of gratitude! We know that every victory, every breakthrough, every step forward happens because people like you choose courage over comfort, action over apathy.
Your unwavering support doesn’t just fuel this movement; it IS this movement. We never forget that behind every one of our 3.6 million strong is a real person who decided to stand up and fight for what’s right.
This year, we enter Pride Month with hearts full of pride and gratitude, but also with fire in our bellies and steel in our spines.
We are excited to premiere the HRC Pride Month 2025 theme: These Colors Don't Run.
This isn't just a slogan — it's a declaration against those who would see us diminished. It's a promise that no matter what they throw at us, we will not retreat, we will not hide, and we will never, ever give up the ground we've fought so hard to claim.
And this year, as WorldPride took place in Washington, D.C. — the seat of American power — our theme takes on even deeper meaning.
We were not just visiting the nation's capital; we belong here. We have always belonged in the rooms where decisions are made, at the tables where policies are written, in the offices where justice is served. "These Colors Don't Run" is our reminder to ourselves and our opponents that we're not going anywhere.
Throughout June, we'll be bringing you weekly updates on our Pride activities, our advocacy wins and the incredible stories of courage coming from our community. But we wanted you — our incredible members who made this milestone possible — to be the first to hear this phenomenal news.
As we celebrate Pride Month, remember that every rainbow flag you see, every parade you attend, every celebration you join is powered by the collective strength of 3.6 million Americans who refuse to be diminished. We are writing the next chapter of LGBTQ+ history, and it's going to be our most triumphant yet.
The colors don't run. And neither do we.
