Stop The Hate

On June 12, 2016, a deadly attack at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando claimed the lives of 49 people — most of them young, LGBTQ and Latinx — and rocked our nation to its core. We will never forget, and we will never stop standing with Orlando. It is important that we not only remember those killed at Pulse, but that we #HonorThemWithAction.

Here are 4 things you can do right now to #HonorThemWithAction:

Watch the Tribute Video

Following the shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando on June 12, 2016, HRC released a special tribute to the 49 victims. The 18-minute tribute -- directed by Emmy Award-winning Ryan Murphy and Ned Martel, with the support of their colleagues at Ryan Murphy Television -- features a diverse cast of 49 actors, directors and other entertainment leaders recounting individual stories of the people killed in our nation’s deadliest mass shooting. Watch now:

For too long, a toxic combination of anti-LGBTQ hate and easy access to guns has put LGBTQ people at disproportionate risk of violence and murder. On June 12, 49 innocent people - most of them Latinx - were killed at Pulse nightclub in Orlando simply because of who they were. It's on all of us to keep their memories alive, and to ensure part of their legacy becomes meaningful action to end hate violence. Join the Human Rights Campaign and urge your legislator to support legislation that will ensure LGBTQ people are safe and equal in every community and find out how to support the survivors and families of the Orlando victims.
