The Darren Branham Pride Scholarship is for students who are graduates of a Pike County Kentucky High School with preference given to graduates of Shelby Valley High School. Recipients shall self-identify as LGBTQ. Recipients shall also have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid. **Incoming undergraduates; Pike County Kentucky High School (Shelby Valley preferred)

MSU Bernard L. McKay Award of Excellence for LGBT Scholars

The recipient must be a full-time incoming undergraduate student who self-identifies as LGBT and have demonstrated commitment to equality for the LGBT community by either membership in gay-straight alliances, participation in community projects or similar actions which indicate their dedication to improving equality for the LGBT community. **Preference to LGBT students from Mason, Bracken, Robertson, and Fleming counties; Secondary preference to students from MSU's traditional twenty-two county service region; Third preference to all Kentucky students
