Awards recognition for educators and their students who demonstrate an understanding of the vision and guiding principles embraced by César Chávez and Dolores Huerta. Both a visual arts application and written application are available. **The 2023-2024 applications will be available in mid-October, with a deadline likely in March.

In Honor of Guy DeRosa, a grant program will support groups, projects and presentations that promote understanding of and respect for LGBTQ+ persons. Grant is to be used directly with students. Special consideration will be given to projects that recognize, promote and celebrate ethnic diversity and other diversity among LGBTQ+ youth.

The scholarship program will support self-identified LGBTQ+ members enrolled in a teacher/counseling credential or graduate program who are pursuing a career in public education and who understand the importance of LGBTQ+ educators as role models in our public schools.

Awarded to students who meet the following criteria: (1) current undergraduate enrolled full-time with a major in Women and Gender Studies, (2) cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and (3) must have completed at least six credit hours in the department. Students must demonstrate a commitment to social justice and to raising awareness of the intersection of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, class and nationality, among others. $1,000 award for CU Boulder undergraduate students that was established in 1996 to ensure that talented LGBTQ students could complete their college degrees, even if their families cut them off financially.

Awarded to currently enrolled full-time undergraduate or graduate students at the University of Colorado Boulder. Students must demonstrate leadership and involvement with LGBTQIA issues and community, and should exemplify steadfastness, visibility, and effectiveness in the quest for LGBTQ rights and the rights of all marginalized people.

The LGBTQIA Scholarship is a $2,000 scholarship awarded to an undergraduate CU Boulder student. Students must be current undergraduates and have a record of service in making CU Boulder a more hospitable place for the LGBTQIA community. Preference is given to first-year students who have demonstrated satisfactory academic progress. Students do not have to demonstrate financial need to apply.
