The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarship support to students pursuing a degree or certificate in any area of study at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa who are committed to civil rights, and a diverse, inclusive campus and society.
about UH Manoa Amy Agbayani Endowed Scholarship for Civil Rights
UGLA will award scholarship grants of $1,000 or $2,000 to qualifying graduating seniors from selected Northeast Los Angeles high schools. The grants will be awarded to students who are planning to attend a four-year college or university. Successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to furthering social justice in general, and in the LGBTQ+ community in particular.
**Graduating high school seniors
Awarded to UCSD LGBTQIA+ students based on academic merit, who have made significant contribution to the LGBTQIA+ community. Preference given to students with demonstrated financial need. Financial need students must be receiving financial aid.
