The goal of this fund is to provide financial assistance to qualified students who have undergone a personal challenge that has made it difficult to achieve educational goals. The Montemayor scholarship provides financial assistance to students who are graduates from a Texas High School or transfer students from a community college in Texas, and have undergone a personal challenge that has made it difficult to achieve educational goals.

The scholarship is awarded to students who play an active role in stopping or preventing bullying (particularly as it is displayed towards LGBTQ people), as well as work to improve the climate on campus for LGBTQ+ communities. **Must be enrolled in the Jackson School of Geosciences. **Awarded per semester for a total of $5,000 per year.

Utah State University (USU) - The Inclusion Center offers a variety of scholarship opportunities for full-time undergrad or grad USU students who are LGBT or supportive and actively engaged in service to the LGBT community. You must be enrolled at Utah State University to browse and apply.

University of South Florida (USF) Alumni Association funds an award to a USF student who has demonstrated academic achievement and contributed to the welcoming climate for all students, including those with a different sexual orientation, and thus support their academic, personal and social development.

University of Southern California (USC) Has 2 scholarships available to an undergraduate or graduate student in any academic program of study whose creative work, scholarship and/or community engagement demonstrates exemplary leadership within the LGBTQ community. *Deadlines TBD, check back in Fall 2023

The College of Arts and Sciences gives an annual award to a student who demonstrates leadership in the LGBTQ community, in memory of the late Ken Terrill, a professor of Theatre Arts from 1978 to 1994. This award is available to students university-wide.

Established by graduate alumnus Paul Campion (College of Education, 1993) and his husband, Randy Johnson, the Johnson-Campion Scholarship will be awarded to subsidize the cost of higher education at the University of Louisville for students with strong financial need, with preference given to undergraduate students focused on advancing equal rights for the LGBTQ community.
