The LGBTQ+ Center, in partnership with the WFU LGBTQ Scholarship Committee, is excited to announce the application period for the 2022-2023 LGBTQ Scholarship at Wake Forest University is now live! This scholarship has been generously funded by alumni and friends of the LGBTQ+ Center. The WFU LGBTQ Scholarship is available to rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors during their undergraduate studies at Wake Forest University. The scholarship seeks to recognize students who have demonstrated exceptional service to improving the campus climate and the wellbeing of students within the LGBTQ+ community on campus. Scholarship recipients do not need to have a formal role or relationship with the LGBTQ+ Center in order to be selected. The recipient(s) of the scholarship(s) will be selected by the WFU LGBTQ Scholarship committee. Students are only eligible to receive the LGBTQ Scholarship once during their academic career. If you have previously applied for the LGBTQ Scholarship, the committee will automatically consider your application from previous years, however you may use this years application to add additional information and context for the committee to consider.

Available to undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate financial need as well as sensitivity to, and advocacy in, addressing LGBTQIA+ issues at UT Dallas or in the broader community. Among equally qualified applicants, a preference will be given to applicants who have completed SAFE Zone Ally training, verified by the Galerstein Gender Center.
