Two anti-LGBTQ+ amendments (Lesko #46 and Foxx/Fulcher #89) were included in H.Amdt 83. The Lesko Amendment would have removed a provision in the underlying bill prohibiting funding to any child welfare organization that does not comply with regulations prohibiting discrimination on the basis of age, disability, sex, race, color, national origin, religion, gender identity, or sexual orientation. The Foxx/Fulcher Amendment would have prohibited funds from being used to rescind the Trump administration’s discriminatory rule undermining non-discrimination protections for federal contractors.
