HRC Releases New Digital Ad in New Hampshire: “Clinton & Hassan For Equality”

New ad features Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and U.S. Senate candidate Maggie Hassan, staunch equality advocates endorsed by HRC

WASHINGTON -- Today, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) civil rights organization, released a new digital ad in New Hampshire for Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and U.S. Senate candidate Maggie Hassan. With one week until Election Day, the ad highlights for New Hampshire voters the strong pro-equality records of both Secretary Clinton and Governor Hassan and their commitment to fighting for all New Hampshire families.

In “Clinton & Hassan For Equality,” Governor Hassan discusses the importance of ensuring equal rights and protections for all Americans: “New Hampshire has a long tradition of inclusiveness. We all grow stronger together, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.”

The ad also features Secretary Clinton talking about the issues at stake in this election for LGBTQ people and their families: “We’re going to have an election that is truly going to be about fundamental rights: marriage equality, taking on the continuing discrimination against the LGBT community. We’ve got to address the growing crisis of transphobic violence.”

Watch: “Clinton & Hassan For Equality

“With Hillary Clinton in the White House and Maggie Hassan in the Senate, we will have two leaders committed to securing full equality for all Americans,” said HRC President Chad Griffin. “New Hampshire voters have a clear choice this election -- and by electing Hillary Clinton and Maggie Hassan, they can help ensure our nation continues moving forward.”

Hillary Clinton has embraced the most pro-LGBTQ equality platform of any major presidential candidate in the nation’s history. Governor Hassan has fought for the rights of all citizens to participate fully in the civic and economic life of their communities, working tirelessly as a State Senator to help make New Hampshire one of the first states to pass legislation ensuring access to legal marriage for all. Earlier this year, she made history by signing an executive order extending non-discrimination protections to transgender people in New Hampshire with respect to government employment, contracts, and programs.

Clinton & Hassan For Equality” is part of HRC’s digital campaign targeting pro-equality voters across New Hampshire. With control of the Senate potentially hinging on the outcome of the New Hampshire Senate race, it is critically important that the nearly 40,000 LGBTQ voters in the state and their allies make their voices heard by casting a ballot for Hillary Clinton and Maggie Hassan.

The campaign is part of a larger get-out-the-vote effort aimed at mobilizing 10 million LGBTQ voters nationwide, as well as millions of other pro-equality voters.

The Human Rights Campaign is America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer equality. HRC envisions a world where LGBTQ people are embraced as full members of society at home, at work and in every community.

Paid for by the Human Rights Campaign Equality Votes and not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.
