HRC Releases New Digital Ad in Nevada: “Clinton & Cortez Masto For Equality”

Digital ad highlights Hillary Clinton and Catherine Cortez Masto as fighters for LGBTQ equality

WASHINGTON -- Today, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) civil rights organization, released a new digital ad in Nevada for Hillary Clinton and U.S. Senate candidate Catherine Cortez Masto. With one week until Election Day, the ad will help mobilize pro-LGTBQ voters in Nevada and ensure they cast their vote for Hillary Clinton and Catherine Cortez Masto.

In “Clinton & Cortez Masto For Equality,” Catherine Cortez Masto talks about her belief in inclusiveness and equality: “We can’t tolerate leaving anyone behind.”

The ad also features Secretary Clinton discussing what’s at stake in this election for LGBTQ individuals and their families: “We’re going to have an election that is truly going to be about fundamental rights: marriage equality, taking on the continuing discrimination against the LGBT community. We are going to make LGBT rights a campaign issue.”

Watch: “Clinton & Cortez Masto For Equality

"Hillary Clinton and Catherine Cortez Masto are proven fighters committed to advancing equality for all Americans,” said HRC President Chad Griffin. “We have made too much progress to allow Donald Trump and Joe Heck to drag us backwards. We are working with our allies in Nevada to ensure that every pro-equality voter turns out to help send Hillary Clinton to the White House and Catherine Cortez Masto to the U.S. Senate on November 8.”

Clinton & Cortez Masto For Equality” is part of HRC’s digital campaign targeting pro-equality voters across Nevada. With control of the Senate potentially hinging on the outcome of the Nevada Senate race, it is critically important that LGBTQ voters in the state ensure their voices are heard by casting a ballot for Catherine Cortez Masto.

The campaign is part of a larger get-out-the-vote effort aimed at mobilizing 10 million LGBTQ voters nationwide, as well as millions of other pro-equality voters.

The Human Rights Campaign is America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer equality. HRC envisions a world where LGBTQ people are embraced as full members of society at home, at work and in every community.

Paid for by the Human Rights Campaign Equality Votes and not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.
