Defend Washington State's Domestic Partnerships

by HRC Staff

HRC is a proud partner of Approve 71 campaign, a coalition of more than 180 organizations working to APPROVE Ref. 71 and defend Washingtons domestic partnerships. The Approve 71 campaign serves as the lead organization working to preserve this fair-minded legislation.

Spread the word that voters must vote to APPROVE Referendum 71. Voters will be asked if they wish to approve or reject the domestic partnership law. We need a majority of voters to vote APPROVE in order to keep the law. It's an off-year election, so please don't take any voter for granted. As many as half of Washington voters don't vote in off-year elections. Please remind every equality-minded voter to mail in their ballots with the Approve Referendum 71 bubble filled in.

A new video from Approve 71 tells the story of a loving couple that has been together for 32 years.

Approve 71 tells one woman's story about what can happen when every family doesn't have equal protection under the law.
