HRC is working with Fairness for All Families and Florida Red & Blue, non-partisan campaigns to defeat a proposed anti-marriage amendment to the Florida constitution.The proposed amendment would restrict marriage to opposite-sex couples and also prevent the legal recognition of relationships that are treated as marriage or the substantial equivalent of marriage.This is very dangerous language that could have effects far beyond preventing marriage equality.The good news is that opponents of equality will need to convince 60% of voters at the polls to support this discriminatory proposed amendment.
