This Pride season, HRC’s All Children - All Families project (ACAF) is proud to celebrate with our participating agencies as they raise their voices in support of LGBTQ equality at marches, festivals and community events across the country.

Across social media platforms, these agencies are proudly displaying their commitment to creating an environment where LGBTQ people considering adoption or foster care are welcomed and encouraged to apply. Watch some of our favorite examples in this video:

Seeing so many child welfare agencies around the country investing in LGBTQ parent recruitment is heartening in a time when some states are passing legislation that would allow discrimination against LGBTQ prospective parents.

All of the agencies featured have used HRC’s ACAF resources to ensure LGBTQ applicants have a positive experience when engaging with the agency. From updating organizational policies and practices to providing staff training, these agencies are demonstrating a passionate commitment to LGBTQ inclusion.

If you encounter representatives of a foster care or adoption agency at a Pride celebration, we hope you will take a moment to thank them for their commitment to welcoming LGBTQ families, and learn about opportunities to support children and youth in need of a loving home.
