HRC Texas field organizers have been hard at work mobilizing equality voters across the Lone Star State to get out the vote on March 6 in support of pro-equality candidates like Sylvia Garcia, who is running for Congress. Early voting began at the end of February and runs through Friday, March 2.

From phone banks to knocking on doors, HRC has been working with our partners to get out the vote. By strengthening support for champions like HRC-endorsed candidate Garcia, Texans can continue to advocate for LGBTQ equality from the local to federal levels.

Garcia is one of my SHEroes and I am so excited to work with HRC on the ground in Houston supporting her campaign for Congress. Garcia has consistently been a champion of the LGBTQ community. She has fought for us from the Senate floor of the Texas Capitol to sitting through 21-hour hearings protecting equal rights of transgender people. By working to defend immigrants from xenophobic proposals like SB4 and fighting to protect Dreamers, Garcia has embodied the values of inclusion and justice Texans believe in.

Texas is breaking early vote turnout records this election, and HRC needs your help to elect pro-equality candidates like Sylvia Garcia to continue to move the tide of progress.

Will you pledge to be an equality voter with HRC and join the fight? This election is too important to leave to chance.

There are still several opportunities between now and Election Day on March 6 to help HRC mobilize equality voters throughout Texas.
