Modeling Inclusion: HBCUs and LGBTQ+ Support

We partnered with The Rutgers Center for Minority Serving Institutions to release ‘Modeling Inclusion: HBCUs and LGBTQ+ Support,” a research brief examining the ground-breaking steps that Historically Black Colleges and Universities are taking to establish LGBTQ+ inclusive policies and practices on their campuses.

HIV & HBCUs

College-age Black Americans are disproportionately affected by HIV. The HBCU Program partners with HBCUs to provide administrators and students with information, strategies, and best practices aimed at significantly reducing student risk on campus.

The HRCF HBCU Program empowers LGBTQ+ HBCU students to be change-agents on their campuses and in their communities.

OUR INITIATIVES

PrEP for Sexual Health
Across the country, we are working with students to increase access to PrEP, an FDA-approved medication that is 99% effective in preventing HIV during sex. Our PrEP ambassadors work to tackle the epidemic at the source to prevent HIV in young people or connect them to care early in their journey of sexual health. Learn more.

Sex Positivity
We are stripping away the shame and getting sex positive to finally build a generation free of HIV and stigma. With the countless attacks on comprehensive sex education in this country and the loss of a generation to the HIV crisis, we must empower students to prioritize their sexual health. Learn more.
