ONE application applies to ALL available scholarships currently available through 10,000 Degrees based on your eligibility, with a few being LGBTQ focused. Awards are based on: Financial need and demonstrated perseverance and motivation to attend and complete post-secondary school. A majority are available to students from the Bay Area regions: Marin, Sonoma, San Francisco, Contra Costa, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Napa counties. **Opens every year October 15th and the priority deadline for submission is March 2nd of the following year.

Scholarships typically range from $1,000 to $4,000 and are available to LGBT students, allies or children of LGBT parents who have permanent residence in downstate Illinois (all Illinois counties except Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will) and attend any accredited, post-secondary educational institution. **Scholarships are awarded in five (5) categories

American Atheists Gay/Lesbian College Scholarship

Open to current college or vocational students and to high school students entering college in the upcoming year. Full-time graduate and law school students also eligible. Applicants do not have to be U.S. citizens to be eligible but do have to attend U.S.-based institutions. Applicants for all awards must be atheists and must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher in academic subjects. All races, ethnicities, genders, and sexual orientations are encouraged to apply.
