Nyrie Sevan Gharibian Scholarship for Arts and Education Students funds a $1000 scholarship for LGBT students of Armenian descent who are actively involved in an organization that benefits the LGBT community. **Must be of Armenian descent (1st /2nd /3rd generation Armenians)

The Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarship is a merit-based program which means financial need is not considered. The selection of the winner is made by an independent panel of judges and is based primarily on the quality of the submitted personal statement. Past academic performance (e.g. grades and standardized test scores) are not considered. The goal is to create a level field where students have complete control over their applications and are not given an advantage or disadvantage based on financial or academic circumstances.The scholarship is open to 9th-12th grade high school, college, or graduate student including adult students.

Carl Joseph Adelhardt supported equality, diversity, and GLBA’s student scholarship endeavors for many years. Carl also raised and schooled many young people. As Claude Raffin and Jon Gathercole have provided exceptional and ongoing support for GLBA, this endowment (begun in 2003) is dedicated to helping LGBT youth succeed and achieve academically. This scholarship fund is to help Transgender students with education-related expenses while pursuing a degree or certificate from an accredited college, university, or technical/vocational program with a satellite campus or permanent presence in Kent County, Michigan.**Transgender residents of Michigan

The scholarship will be awarded to a Michigan resident who has demonstrated a passion for promoting mutual respect and acceptance for all through engagement with diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

GSBA supports LGBTQ+ and allied students who demonstrate the vision and the ability to truly make a difference in the world. With a GSBA scholarship, students are able to focus more wholly on their academic pursuits. With the financial burden lightened, they are able to work one less job, avoid debt, and involve themselves in community activities. This is a community effort! With a GSBA scholarship, we are supporting students with their educational pursuits, who will in turn lead an equitable future. We need you to join us in supporting tomorrow’s leaders today. Opens on Coming Out Day, October 11, each year. Preference is given to students who identify as LGBTQIA+, are members of LGBTQIA+ families, or are cisgender/straight allies who have demonstrated active support of the LGBTQIA+ community. Applicants must be pursuing a certificate program or undergraduate degree – Associate’s or Bachelor’s. Students should be enrolled in a community college, four-year public or private college or university, or vocational/technical/trade program. Current college students and those individuals planning to enroll in a program in the next academic year are eligible. This includes current high school seniors.
