Equality Magazine: Summer 2024

Freedom

As we look toward the fast-approaching election in November, we are reclaiming what it means to be American, envisioning a brighter future led by Vice President Kamala Harris and a growing crowd of pro-equality candidates across the U.S. We were thrilled to collaborate on this issue’s cover design with Robyn Kanner and Eric Ziminsky of Studio Mosaic. Both are creative veterans of the Biden-Harris campaign and a part of our LGBTQ+ community. The artwork they have created is a portrait of America — one that is filled with freedom and hope. The creative was inspired by American painter Norman Rockwell and iconic newspaper covers from The Saturday Evening Post. As Vice President Harris says, “we choose freedom,” which perfectly encapsulates the historic moment we’re in as we work together for the future of our country.
