As parents, one of our goals — and often one of our more difficult tasks — is helping our kids launch into adulthood.
A successful launch means they are ready to lead an independent life, have the skills and tools they need to be self-sufficient, and have goals in place for their future. Each family can have a different timeline for when a child should launch. Cultural norms or financial restrictions could mean that some families expect a child to be independent at 18, while for others, the mid-20s is a good goal.
