Human Rights Campaign Equality Votes PAC Launches $1 Million Ad Campaign in Support of Scott Wiener in CA-11

Washington, DC – Today, the Human Rights Campaign Equality Votes PAC launched a $1 million digital and mail ad campaign in support of Scott Wiener, who is running to represent California’s 11th Congressional District. The ad, “Scott Made Room for Us,” focuses on Wiener’s long record of delivering for his constituents in the state Senate–writing the laws that made it easier to build new homes in California, live near transit, and afford Insulin.

 “Scott Wiener has delivered for San Francisco in the State Senate, and he will do the same in Congress,” said HRC Equality Votes PAC spokesperson Sam Lau. “Whether it’s expanding access to new homes, reducing the cost of healthcare, or fighting for the LGBTQ+ community, voters can count on Scott to get the job done.”

The digital ad will run across pre-roll, connected television, streaming audio, and social media platforms. The full HRC Equality Votes PAC ad campaign will reach approximately 400,000 voters in the district. 

In addition to his long record on affordability, the HRC PAC-endorsed Sen. Wiener has been a pro-equality champion in Sacramento, authoring bills that create the option for nonbinary people to have official documents matching their gender identity, prevent discrimination based on HIV status and expanding access to PrEP, and protect transgender youth seeking healthcare in California.
