by Stephen Peters

WASHINGTON– Today, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the nation’s largest advocacy group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) rights, praised the selection of Troy Williams as Executive Director for Equality Utah.

“I'm thrilled to call Troy Williams a friend and a colleague in the movement for full equality,” said Chad Griffin, President of HRC. “Troy is a tireless, fearless advocate and the perfect choice to lead Equality Utah at this historic time. While much has been accomplished in this movement, we still have so far to go--and I can't wait to work with Troy to further advance equality in Utah and around the nation.”

The Human Rights Campaign is America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality. By inspiring and engaging all Americans, HRC strives to end discrimination against LGBT citizens and realize a nation that achieves fundamental fairness and equality for all.
