HRC PAC releases video in response to Gov. Palin's comments about homosexuality

by HRC Staff

WASHINGTON - The Human Rights Campaign PAC, the political action committee of the nation's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization, released an online video today in response to the comments by Republican Vice Presidential Nominee Sarah Palin that she believes homosexuality is a choice. Palin recently told CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric that she believes homosexuality is a "choice." The video released by HRC PAC is narrated by Michael Cole, senior manager of HRC's media center, who flew to Alaska with a video production crew to talk with Wasilla's LGBT community.

"Sarah Palin used the oldest trick in the book, citing her gay friend as a show of support for our community, " said Human Rights Campaign President Joe Solmonese. "I wonder how her friend feels about Palin being against hate crimes legislation, relationship recognition for same-sex couples, or Palin's belief that her sexuality is a choice."

BLOGGER NOTE: The video can also be linked up on www.HRCBackStory.org.

The Human Rights Campaign is America's largest civil rights organization working to achieve gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender equality.
