Emmy Award-winning Breaking Bad star supports marriage for gay and lesbian couples nationwide

Washington– Today the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization, released a video ad featuring “Breaking Bad” actor Bryan Cranston for its Americans for Marriage Equality campaign. In the video, which also features his wife Robin, and their daughter Taylor, Cranston states, “Gay and lesbian couples should have every right to experience the joys of marriage and family that we do.” The videos can be viewed online at www.hrc.org/marriageequality.
“The Cranstons know that marriage is about love and family,” said HRC President Chad Griffin. “Committed and loving gay and lesbian couples deserve the opportunity to enrich and strengthen their families through marriage, just like everyone else.”
Bryan Cranston is perhaps best known for his Emmy Award-winning role as Walter White on AMC’s “Breaking Bad,” as well as Hal, the father in the Fox sitcom “Malcolm in the Middle.” Bryan and Robin married in 1989 and Taylor, born in 1993, is their only child together. Season 5 of “Breaking Bad” premieres Sunday at 10/9c on AMC.
This is the twenty-sixth release by HRC for the Americans campaign.
