Orlando Gonzales

Orlando Gonzales brings extensive experience in the non-profit arena and most recently served for five years as the Executive Director of SAVE and the SAVE Foundation, South Florida’s longest-serving LGBTQ+ civil rights organization. In this work, he provided leadership and direction to staff and the more than 400 volunteers who worked to provide education, support, and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community. He brought significant fundraising expertise to the organization and served as a trusted community partner and media expert on breaking LGBTQ+ news and issues, including Spanish-language media.

Our HRC Foundation’s work is more important now than ever before. With more people identifying as LGBTQ+, including upwards of 30% of Gen Z, there is an even deeper need for this vital research, advocacy, and education work. I’m excited to lead this team and, with their help, ready to win.
