National Coming Out Day Report

The Human Rights Campaign’s National Coming Out Day report explores the coming out experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth—to whom they come out, in what settings, obstacles they experience, and the ways in which coming out may be related to their personal well–being, sense of safety, and their connections to family, school and community.

The report further analyzes the results of HRC’s groundbreaking survey of more than 10,000 LGBT–identified youth ages 13 to 17, Growing Up LGBT in America.
