The Human Rights Campaign wrapped up HRC Gives Back, a record-breaking, month-long digital campaign designed to raise funds for the critical fight for LGBTQ rights while benefitting essential workers and a wide variety of community organizations. In total, HRC distributed more than 22,000 masks to partner organizations in need and received 11,000 membership contributions.

“We are living in unprecedented times, and the overwhelming success of HRC Gives Back is an especially heartening development showing that people continue to understand the critical importance of fighting for LGBTQ rights while giving back to those on the front lines,” said HRC President Alphonso David. “We are grateful to members and supporters for making this important initiative successful.”

“We are overwhelmed and heart-warmed by the support from more than 11,000 individuals who participated in this campaign, as well as our partners at RNDC/Young’s,” said Chris Speron, HRC Senior Vice President of Development and Marketing. “We thank our longstanding members for redoubling their commitment to HRC’s mission, and we welcome all of our new members who will play a critical role in the fight for LGBTQ rights and the battle to retake the White House. And we would like to give a special shout out to Heather Freyer, HRC Federal Club member and equality workplace trailblazer, for initiating and carrying-out the final leg of this project with the companies involved."

In the campaign’s final week, the Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC)/Young’s Market Company (Young’s) organized a final contribution of $24,000 to HRC Gives Back which enabled HRC to send a final 1,200 face masks to three organizations including:
