Carolyn Simon is the Director of Digital & Content Strategy at the Human Rights Campaign. In this capacity, Simon oversees innovative, award-winning digital marketing campaigns that highlight HRC's work to fight for equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people.
Simon directs HRC's digital and social media strategy, the day-to-day operations of HRC.org and associated digital properties, as well as HRC's Equality magazine and other publications.
Prior to joining the Digital Media team, Simon worked in HRC's publications department and worked as a copy editor at the Press-Enterprise in Riverside, Calif., and at the Daily Gazette in Schenectady, N.Y.
Simon earned her master's degree in magazine, newspaper and online journalism from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and her bachelor's degree in English from Union College.
