Pence addresses anti-LGBTQ extremists this weekend; Victory! for intersex & non-binary Americans seeking passports
THIS WEEKEND -- MIKE PENCE TO ADDRESS GATHERING OF NATION’S MOST EXTREME ANTI-LGBTQ POLITICIANS, CANDIDATES AND ACTIVISTS: The so-called “Values Voters Summit” in Washington, D.C., is sponsored by the Family Research Council, an organization that has been designated a hate group for its anti-LGBTQ agenda by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Pence will share billing with anti-equality extremists including Paul McHugh, a peddler of anti-LGBTQ junk science, and Elizabeth Johnston, who supports the dangerous, debunked practice of “conversion therapy”. Like past summits, this year’s lineup features a cavalcade of radical speakers who have attacked marriage equality and transgender people, advocated criminal sanctions against LGBTQ people, compared LGBTQ people to pedophiles and promoted “conversion therapy.” #NotOurValues More from Right Wing Watch and Pink News.
PROTECT TRANS TROOPS -- FURTHER PROOF THAT TRUMP RECKLESSLY TWEETED BAN WITHOUT CONSULTING MILITARY: These emails show the White House lied to the public. Sarah Sanders said “the president’s national security team was part of this discussion” and “this was a military decision.” That is false. Trump impulsively tweeted a ban on thousands of transgender troops around the globe, some serving in war zones, without consulting the military. That is why HRC joined as a co-plaintiff along with the American Military Partner Association (AMPA) and Gender Justice League in a case filed by Lambda Legal and OutServe-SLDN. More from BuzzFeed.

TRUMP-PENCE ADMINISTRATION DIVERTS HIV & AIDS FUNDING TO BOLSTER CRUEL ATTACKS AT THE BORDER: The Trump-Pence administration said it was committed to ending the HIV epidemic. That was a lie. They are allocating millions of crucial funds for HIV treatment and cancer research to fund their unconscionable family separation policy. More from CNN.
HRC MOURNS NIKKI ENRIQUEZ, TRANS LATINA MURDERED BY BORDER AGENT: “The targeted murder of four women, and the kidnapping of a fifth woman, is horrific and alarming,” said HRC National Press Secretary Sarah McBride (@SarahEMcBride). “Nikki's death appears to be the direct result of the toxic combination of misogyny, racism, xenophobia and transphobia.” More from NBC.

HRC ENDORSES JOE RADINOVICH FOR U.S. CONGRESS (MN-8): “Joe Radinovich is a champion of equality who will fight for all of Minnesota’s hard-working families,” said HRC Senior Vice President for Policy and Political Affairs JoDee Winterhof. “His commitment to justice and equality make him the clear choice for Minnesota’s fair-minded voters. As a state legislator, Joe stood firmly on the right side of history in a vote for marriage equality because he knew it was the right thing to do -- even though he faced backlash from some vocal opponents.” More from HRC.
