HRC & UCONN SURVEY FINDS BI+ YOUTH AT HEIGHTENED RISK FOR DISCRIMINATION AT HOME AND IN SCHOOL: “Over the past few years, more and more celebrities, politicians and others have come out as bi+, putting a spotlight on the bisexual community and making it more visible than ever,” said Jay Brown, HRC Senior Vice President of Programs, Research and Training. “However, even as visibility increases, bi+ youth are still experiencing biphobia and bi erasure in their homes, schools and communities -- and both within and outside of the LGBTQ community.” More from HRC

TEARFUL THURSDAY -- LIFETIME SHARES ALEX COOPER’S POWERFUL LIFE STORY: When she was a teenager, Cooper’s parents forced her into so-called “conversion therapy” with unlicensed individuals. HRC SUBMITS OVER 10,000 PUBLIC COMMENTS ON TRUMP-PENCE PROPOSED ATTACK ON LGBTQ FEDERAL CONTRACT WORKERS: “With this proposed regulation, the Trump-Pence administration is seeking to gut existing protections for LGBTQ people, women and religious minorities, and we cannot stand idly by,” said HRC President Alphonso David. “Everyone deserves a workplace free from discrimination. The Trump-Pence administration needs to withdraw this proposed regulation and stop these attacks on LGBTQ people.” More from HRC

HRC FOUNDATION & CNN ANNOUNCE ADDITIONAL PARTICIPANTS AND MODERATORS IN HISTORIC LGBTQ PRESIDENTIAL TOWN HALL: “We’re pleased to see such strong interest among the candidates to participate in the historic Power of our Pride town hall and articulate their visions for LGBTQ people,” said HRC President Alphonso David. Confirmed candidates include: former Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Cory Booker, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, former Secretary Julian Castro, Senator Kamala Harris, Senator Amy Klobuchar, former Representative Beto O’Rourke, Businessman Tom Steyer and Senator Elizabeth Warren.
