ACROSS THE COUNTRY, HRC MEMBERS AND SUPPORTERS JOINED FAIR-MINDED AMERICANS RALLYING TO OPPOSE TRUMP-PENCE’S UNCONSCIONABLE CHOICE TO RIP APART IMMIGRANT FAMILIES: Despite Trump’s late and incomplete retreat from his cruel and dangerous policy, thousands of families have already paid the price and will continue to suffer because of his actions. MO STATE AG JOSH HAWLEY TOOK $$$ FROM ANTI-LGBTQ HATE GROUP ALLIANCE DEFENDING FREEDOM: Hawley, who is challenging Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO), reportedly accepted thousands of dollars from the notoriously anti-LGBTQ Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) to speak at the group’s conference 2013. Emails show that Hawley and his wife have together earned $8,700 from ADF since that time. More from Riverfront Times.

EXCLUSIVE -- HRC PRESIDENT CHAD GRIFFIN (@CHADHGRIFFIN) SITS DOWN WITH PRIZM TO TALK OHIO MIDTERMS AND THE POWER OF THE LGBTQ VOTE: “Our organization has been on the defensive like everyone else, fighting back and pushing back and resisting,” Griffin told Prizm’s Bob Vital (@Bob_Vitale). “Now we’re really turning that resistance into action and aggressively organizing and mobilizing in key states around the country.” In Ohio, HRC has identified more than 1.5 million “equality voters” who are either members of the LGBTQ community or who strongly support issues such as expanding the state’s nondiscrimination laws to cover sexual orientation and gender identity or expression. MASSACHUSETTS MUST VOTE ‘YES’ TO PRESERVE PROTECTIONS FOR TRANS COMMUNITY: If repealed, Massachusetts would become the first and only state in the U.S. to pass a statewide ballot initiative to revoke legal protections for transgender people. More from HRC.

NEW POLLING SHOWS LGBTQ VOTERS STRONGLY CONSIDERING CANDIDATE’S POSITION ON COMMON SENSE GUN REFORM IN MIDTERM: Nineteen percent of respondents identified gun law reform as their top issue. Of those surveyed 79 percent said the sale guns should be more strict, and 75 percent said that a political candidate’s position on gun reform is likely to impact their vote.
