Dozens arrested at Russian rally for LGBTQ equality; LGBTQ candidates turning out for the 2018 midterms

NYTIMES ON THE “RAINBOW WAVE” - RECORD NUMBER OF LGBTQ CANDIDATES TURNING OUT TO PULL THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ON TRUMP-PENCE ADMINISTRATION: NYT’s Liam Stack (@liamstack) and Catie Edmondson (@CatieEdmondson) have tracked more than 500 LGBTQ candidates running at all levels of government. Nearly half are running for state office, at a time when LGBTQ equality, and especially rights for the trans community, have been under attack by state lawmakers emboldened by the Trump-Pence administration.
