LGBTQ+ VETERANS DISCHARGED FOR THEIR SEXUAL ORIENTATION, GENDER IDENTITY, OR HIV STATUS CAN APPLY FOR FULL BENEFITS: American military veterans who were given less-than-honorable discharges for their sexual orientation, gender identity, or HIV status are eligible to apply for a discharge upgrade or full benefits under a Veterans Affairs (VA) application of policy.
