AS SCOTUS THREATENS AN EXTREME RIGHTWARD TILT, HRC PRESIDENT CALLS OUT THOMAS, ALITO FOR RENEWED WAR ON MARRIAGE EQUALITY: “This morning, Justices Thomas and Alito renewed their war on LGBTQ rights and marriage equality, as the court hangs in the balance. Joined by a potential new far-right anti-equality extremist Amy Coney Barrett, the Court could significantly water down what marriage equality means for LGBTQ couples across the nation,” said HRC President Alphonso David (@AlphonsoDavid). “Our love is valid, our love is equal, and our rights must be.” More from HRC, The New York Times and Associated Press.

TUESDAY FEATURE -- HRC LAUNCHES NEW VIDEO ON TRANSGENDER VIOLENCE: “TRUMP’S ADMINISTRATION -- THEY ARE KILLING US WITH POLICY”: Today, HRC launched its first video in what will be a weekly series on Trump’s failure to keep LGBTQ people safe. This video release comes as we approach a tragic record of fatal violence against transgender people in the United States, likely surpassing the record of 31 deaths set in 2017. “Donald Trump has dehumanized trans people in a way that any of us could[n’t] imagine. Many Black trans people are terrified,” said HRC Director of Community Engagement for the Transgender Justice Initiative Tori Cooper (@MsToriCooper1) in the video.
