VP Joe Biden: “Trans Lives Matter”; TONIGHT -- HRC & National Trans Visibility March host “My Vote is My Voice” event

⏰ 14 DAYS ⏰

VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN: “TRANS LIVES MATTER”: Biden (@JoeBiden) issued a statement on the epidemic of violence against transgender and gender non-conforming people, writing, “Solving this epidemic of violence doesn’t just require a President who actually recognizes it as fact, but one who believes in the humanity and dignity of transgender people. As President, I will put forward comprehensive solutions to help empower the transgender and gender non-conforming community and prioritize the prosecution of anti-transgender violence.” Read the full statement from LGBTQ Nation.

  • Said HRC President Alphonso David (@AlphonsoDavid) in response, “Joe Biden has made unprecedented commitments to advancing LGBTQ equality, from his pledge to sign the Equality Act to his promise to reinstate key Obama-era protections across federal agencies that President Trump cruelly stripped away… Joe Biden has been a proud champion for LGBTQ equality for years and we are proud to support him in the most important election in memory -- with life and death stakes for LGBTQ people in this country.”
