HRC and NTVM host “My Vote is My Voice” event tomorrow; Playwright Jeremy O. Harris makes Tony history

TOMORROW, HRC AND THE NATIONAL TRANS VISIBILITY MARCH HOST “MY VOTE IS MY VOICE” EVENT: The event will take place tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. EDT / 4:00 p.m. PDT and will feature a virtual conversation with HRC President Alphonso David (@AlphonsoDavid), HRC Director of Community Engagement for the Transgender Justice Initiative Tori Cooper (@MsToriCooper1) and YouAreEssential.org Founder Ashlee Marie Preston (@AshleeMPreston). This is the fourth and final in a series of discussions designed to mobilize LGBTQ voters. More from HRC.

THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IS PARTICULARLY DEVASTING FOR LGBTQ YOUTH: Youth who are LGBTQ are more at risk of being exposed to the virus, less likely to get stable employment, have more difficulty finding housing and feel more isolated than their straight, cisgender peers, and those who come from more than one marginalized background, such as Black transgender girls, are bearing the brunt of it.
