REPORT REVEALS SHARP RISE IN TRANSGENDER YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE U.S.: An analysis of surveys conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that the estimated number of transgender teenagers in the United States has doubled since 2017. It also found that younger Americans, ages 13 to 25, make up a disproportionately large percent of the transgender community. “[This change] signifies a new confidence among a new generation to be authentic in their gender identity.” More from The New York Times.
