#AM_Equality: HRC remembers the life of Kitty Monroe, a beloved friend and loving dog mom; HRC commemorates Independence Day with call to action
HRC REMEMBERS THE LIFE OF KITTY MONROE, A BELOVED FRIEND AND LOVING DOG MOM: “Kitty Monroe should still be alive today to spend time with her beloved friends and four dogs. We must remember her name as we continue the fight against this epidemic of violence on Black transgender women,” said HRC Director of Community Engagement for the Transgender Justice Initiative Tori Cooper (@MsToriCooper1, she/her). “Her death came too soon, and it is up to us to celebrate the life she lived and do better to protect transgender and gender non-conforming people in our communities.” More from HRC.
