We must say it again -- Black Trans Lives Matter.
We are experiencing an epidemic of anti-trans violence devastating our community. Since HRC began tracking this data in 2013, advocates have never recorded such a high number of violent deaths at this point in the year. Each of these victims had communities and loved ones, hopes and dreams for the future. Anti-trans bias, racism, sexism and other oppressive systems continue to deprive beloved members of our community of necessities to live and thrive.
"Black trans folks should not be made to feel like we have to pick sides. We are an integral part of LGBTQ pride, & we are an integral part of Black Lives Matter."— Alphonso David (@AlphonsoDavid) July 28, 2020
