Nick Morrow

Press Secretary, Southern States - Project One America

Nick Morrow has used his on-the-ground experience in politics, his passion for progressive issues and his years of working on fast-paced issue campaigns to create and implement comprehensive media strategies centered around today’s most pressing political issues.

Nick is the Press Secretary for the Southern States – Project One America at the Human Rights Campaign, where he focuses on LGBTQ rights in the American South. Nick is responsible for the daily and long-term media strategy for HRC’s campaigns in the South, and works to promote LGBTQ rights by utilizing traditional media, “new” media, social media and various other communications strategies.

Prior to HRC, Nick worked as a strategic communications consultant at SKDKnickerbocker, where he worked on high-profile political and public affairs clients, including some of the largest nonprofits, businesses and issue campaigns in the country. At SKDK, Nick was an integral part of the media relations team that successfully represented the Human Rights Campaign and plaintiff Jim Obergefell throughout the landmark marriage equality case, Obergefell v. Hodges, in 2015.

Nick received a Master’s degree in Global Communication from the George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Tennessee.
