Join Us to Help Youth in San Francisco

Partners: Human Rights Campaign & Year Up

MLK Day of Service is on January 16, 2017. We hope you all will join us once again in transforming this national holiday into a “day on, not a day off” meant to turn Dr. King’s teachings into a day of action across the country, and to deepen our commitment and connection to those in our community who are too often at its margins.

One such challenge is the lack of financial competency our youth now possess. HRC and Year Up invite you to partner with us on a service project to help teach youth in our community basic financial skills.

How can YOU make a difference?
By volunteering your time.

Volunteer

On Monday, January 16 and Friday, January 20, please volunteer with HRC San Francisco/Bay Area for a service project that will benefit Year Up and the youth they serve. Volunteers will be assistant facilitators during the financial skills workshop and lead youth through a game that puts the workshop into practice. We will train you in everything you need to know, so no prior experience needed, but we ask that you be available for both the training and the service event to participate.

Training: Monday, January 16
2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Service Event: Friday, January 20
2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m.
