Join Us to Help Those Seeking Help in Your Community

MLK Day of Service is on January 16, 2017. We hope you all will join us once again in transforming this national holiday into a “day on, not a day off” meant to turn Dr. King’s teachings into a day of action across the country, and to deepen our commitment and connection to those in our community who are too often at its margins.

One such challenge is homelessness among LGBTQ youth as well as non-LGBTQ, at-risk youth. HRC and the Youth Oasis invite you to partner with us on a service project benefiting homeless and at-risk youth in your community, including LGBTQ youth.

How can YOU make a difference?
By Donating Items or Organizing a Donation Drive

By January 13, please help us collect the following items for the youth served by Youth Oasis:

  • Personal hygiene products
  • Shampoo
  • Wipes
  • Toothpaste

Please consider organizing a donation drive at your work, school, or place of worship. If you are interested, please contact Michael Glorioso at michael.glorioso@cox.com or Betty Pei Ching Sun at BettySun@HRCNOLA.org.

Please personally donate these items. Please label them “MLK DOS” and drop them off at any of the following location:
