Join Us to Help Feed Those in Need in Your Community

Partners: Human Rights Campaign & North Texas Food Bank

MLK Day of Service is on January 16, 2017. We hope you all will join us once again in transforming this national holiday into a “day on, not a day off” meant to turn Dr. King’s teachings into a day of action across the country, and to deepen our commitment and connection to those in our community who are too often at its margins.

One such challenge is tackling hunger and lack of food resources in our communities. HRC and North Texas Food Bank invite you to partner with us on a service project benefiting families and people suffering from lack of food resources.

How can YOU make a difference?
By donating items and volunteering your time.

Donate Items or Organize a Food Drive

By January 16, please help us collect the following items for the community served by North Texas Food Bank:

  • Canned tuna or chicken
  • Peanut butter
  • Dried or canned beans
  • Low sodium canned vegetables

Please consider organizing a donation drive at your work, school, or place of worship. If you are interested, please contact Sam Tornabene or Elizabeth Rodriguez at stornabene@me.com and rodriguez.eliz@gmail.com.

Please personally donate these items. Please label them "MLK DOS" and drop them off at the following location:
