Partners: Human Rights Campaign & GLSEN
MLK Day of Service is on January 16, 2017. We hope you all will join us once again in transforming this national holiday into a “day on, not a day off” meant to turn Dr. King’s teachings into a day of action across the country, and to deepen our commitment and connection to those in our community who are too often at its margins.
One such challenge is homelessness among LGBTQ youth as well as non-LGBTQ, at-risk youth. HRC and GSLEN invite you to partner with us on a service project benefiting the homeless and at-risk youth in your community served by OSU Star House.
How can YOU make a difference?
Help the homeless youth served by OSU Star House by purchasing clothing and other critically needed items through this Amazon Wish List. Be sure to ship them to the gift registry address in this wish list. To donate gently used items or other purchases, please contact Craig Diaz at craig.s.diaz@gmail.com to schedule a drop off time.
On Monday, January 16, please volunteer with HRC Columbus and GLSEN to help provide professional advice and services that will support the youth served by OSU Star House. Volunteer opportunities include providing resume building services, job interview tips and training and organizing important donations made to the organization.
