Partners: Youth Empowerment Performance Project (YEPP), Lakeview Lutheran Church and Human Rights Campaign
Church and Human Rights Campaign MLK Day of Service is on the weekend of January 13 -15, 2018. We hope you all will join us once again in transforming this national holiday into a "day on, not a day off" meant to turn Dr. King's teachings into a day of action across the country, and to deepen our commitment and connection to those in our community who are too often at its margins.
One such challenge is LGBTQ youth who have experienced homelessness. HRC, Youth Empowerment Performance Project (YEPP) and Lakeview Lutheran Chuch invite you to partner with us on a service project benefiting these youths.
How can YOU make a difference?
By donating items and volunteering your time.
By January 15, please purchase these items through this Amazon Wish List and ship them to the Gift Registry Address in this Wish List.
Please consider organizing a donation drive at your work, school, or place of worship. If you are interested, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
On Saturday, January 13, please volunteer for a service project that will benefit the youth in your area. Volunteer opportunities include cleaning and reorganizing the Lakeview Lutheran Church space where YEPP is housed, painting rooms, scanning old YEPP documents and stuffing envelopes for upcoming YEPP mailers.
We are organizing a dinner for the youths on Saturday, January 13.
