Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

Taking place every third Monday in January, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service is the only federal holiday observed as a national day of service – a "day on, not a day off." By transforming Dr. King's life and teachings into community action, MLK Day of Service helps to meet national challenges by bringing together people, strengthening communities, and benefiting those who serve.

At HRC, we believe that we have a responsibility to deepen our commitment and connection to those in our community who are too often at its margins.
